SOS – Save Our Space. We need your help to clean up our city. What have you ever done or are going to do to keep it clean?

Many people think that this is the duty of the janitors. And even many mock them and deliberately throw garbage on the floor. This is wrong, you need to respect other people and their work. I sometimes pick up trash in our yard, and it’s even fun. When we went on trips, we did not leave until we cleaned the garbage. Sometimes it is difficult because there was a lot of garbage, but it’s worth it. When I watch how garbage lies in the ocean and many animals die, I just start to hate the inhabitants of this country.

Write an essay about the following topic “SOS – Save Our Space. We need your help to clean up our city. What  have you ever done or are going to do to keep it clean?”

It’s up to all of us to look after the environment. So what can we do?

Use less paper. Paper comes from trees, and we need to protect the forests where trees grow.
Recycle things like glass and plastic. When we use things more than once, we help to protect our environment.
Turn off taps when you aren’t using the water. Water is a very precious thing, and we shouldn’t waste it.
Don’t throw litter on the streets! Always put your rubbish in a bin! Try to travel less by car or plane. Cars and planes produce fumes which pollute the atmosphere. And remember – that’s the air that we breathe, so we should do our best to keep it clean!

to be up to sb – մեկից կախված լինել
look after – հոգ տանել, պատասխանաատու լինել

  • The Internet in my life. The advantages and disadvantages of Media education.
It seems to me that the Internet corrupts people. All video games simply attract people and when you start playing it is simply impossible to stop. I speak from my own experience, I used to play and did not notice anything around. And everyone said <>. And now I realized that my day is empty and I do nothing. You can play, but do not forget about important things. As for media education, I think there are people who use it and not in a good way. They do bad things for themselves and do not ignite their brains, but simply get a tick. They just copy. I think that many lessons should be different.
  • Folk music and dance classes in our school. The song and dance which I like most of all.
Folk music and dance classes in our school have been a great way to learn about our cultural traditions and have fun at the same time. It’s a great way to get together with friends and make new ones, while preserving our heritage and cultural identity. I don’t really like folk songs or dances. I prefer more modern genres of music like rock or rap. But folk dances and songs are very important. And I don’t mind teaching them.
  • Sports centres in our school. Which sport have you chosen? Why?
We have many different sports in our school. My favorite is basketball, but now I go to table tennis and it’s also interesting there. We go to sports twice a week.
  • Your school trips. Tell about your last trip or about the trip which you liked most of all
School trips are very interesting, fun and educational. My last trip was in May 19-21. This was my last trip as I leave school and go to college. It was unforgettable, my friends and I laughed so much, played games, walked, took a lot of photos and had fun together. We have a tradition of always taking marshmallows on trips and roasting them over a fire. When traveling there is always a fire lit and we all gather around it and sing songs or just talk and get to know each other better.
  • Blog as an educational tool (area). How long have you had your blog? How often do you update your blog? The advantages and disadvantages of using the blog as an educational tool?
A blog is like a notebook and it is very convenient to work in a blog. The only thing I don’t like is that the blog is valued more than the mind. I often update the blog, change the background or colors. I post all my lessons on my blog. I used to talk about the operas in which I was, I had a separate section. Working on a blog is very fast and convenient. In notebooks it is much more difficult, the hand gets tired, but everything is much better on the blog.
  • If you could change one important thing in your country, what would you change? Use reasons and specific examples to support your answers.

  • My favourite corner in the school. Where do you like to spend your time? Why?
I don’t have a particular favorite corner but I really enjoy being in the chemistry lab. I love chemistry and I love experiments. I like to study different chemicals. I liked chemistry since the seventh grade. I always wanted to study chemistry. My great-grandfather was a chemist and I think my love for chemistry came from him. I want to become a confectioner and I need chemistry.
  • Our school website. Do you find it useful? If yes, why. If no, why. Suggest some ways to make it better.

  • Educational camps in our school. Which camp do you prefer – summer or winter? Why? Tell about your favourite activity during the camps.
I like winter camp so much, because winter Arates is the best. In winter camps we often go to skating rink. I love winter even without camping․ Camp is just a nice addition. Summer is very hot here and traveling in summer is impossible for me. It is also bitten by insects, etc. Traveling in summer is not so pleasant. And in winter, fresh air, snow and good games in the snow. But summering has its advantages. In summer, you dress freely and feel free. In the camp, I like traveling and getting to know my classmates better.
  • Do we work to live or live to work?
For everyone in different ways, there are people who work to live and there are people who live to work. I am one of those people who work to live. I don’t see the point in putting myself to work. Sometimes it’s nice to work, but you can’t forget about rest.

It was just farmland at the beginning of the 20th centry. Early American movies were made in other places, such as New York and Chicago. In 1917 a director was making a film in Chicago. Listen to English Listening Lesson on  Apartments
In the USA, they’re called apartments; in the UK they’re called flats. They are a modern invention. I don’t particularly like them. I don’t think it’s good for so many people to live so close together. It’s not good for people to live on top of each other. I don’t understand how people can live above the second floor. It’s not natural to live in the sky. The thing I hate most about apartments are the lifts (Americans say elevator) and the fact there’s no garden. More and more people are moving into apartments. This creates problems with overcrowding. There aren’t enough spaces to park your car, there’s nowhere to throw your rubbish and you have to wait ages to reach your floor. Give me a little house with a little garden any day.
